When you use WordBound, we collect: your name, email address, and phone number (provided at signup); reading activity such as bookmarks and reading history; and payment-related information such as subscription status and payment references (WordBound does not store your card details directly — payments are processed securely through PayFast).

We use your information to manage your account and subscription, personalize your reading experience, process payments, and communicate important updates.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared with trusted service providers who help us operate WordBound, including our database provider, hosting provider, and payment processor (PayFast), solely to deliver the service.

4. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted data storage and access controls. All book content, free and premium, is protected against unauthorized download or distribution.

5. Your Rights

Under POPIA, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at info@wordbound.co.za. Certain financial records may be retained longer where required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required for legal or financial record-keeping.

WordBound may use cookies to keep you logged in and improve your experience. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
